What are your hours? When will you be open more?
We’re open every Saturday from 9am-2pm!
We’re starting small, and growing within our means. It’s always been the vision to let Whisk steer the boat. (Morgan here…) I don’t believe in pushing myself or my business too fast, too soon- if I’ve learned anything, it’s that Whisk grows when she wants to grow, and gives me the signs to follow suit. I believe a strong business and customer base is rooted in trust, relationships, and freaking fabulous food. We’re planning to expand hours soon, but we want to make sure we can balance our special orders with our retail product, while still making you some of the most delicious pastries that you’ve ever dreamed of.
What are your prices for specialty and custom cakes?
This a super tough question to pinpoint, as all of our custom desserts are just that…custom!! We strongly believe in keeping our kitchen our safe space of creativity, fun, and rooted in the love that surrounds pastry for us- so no order is exactly the same- it’s quite literally YOUR order.
That being said, all of our custom cakes are priced by serving, as it just keeps it simple and uniform. Custom cakes usually start at about $7-$7.50 per serving. That includes most of our flavors and filling, and a simple design to match your color scheme or vision. Adding fresh florals, extra decoration that requires more time or man power may bring your price up. We invite you to smash that order button and send us an inquiry. Do you have a phone at the shop? I wanna call ya.
Following suit with some businesses that we really look up to, we’ve opted out of having a business phone at the moment. Almost everything for us is done through email, or face to face. In this day and age, there’s a million ways to reach us… which means there’s a million things to keep track of. When you’ve got a team of two, we promise that we know the best ways to get your orders in, and efficiently communicated to the both of us.
On the same token, when we’re at the shop, we’re baking, working, and communicating with customers! We really appreciate each pastry that gets our attention, and each customer that we welcome into our little home- we want those things to get 100% of our attention when we’re in the kitchen.
Girl, trust me- if I could give pastries away for free…I would.
We do this for the love of baking, for the rush that kitchen life gives us, and for the pure serotonin boost that a pretty ass cake makes us experience. We don’t do this for the money. But at that- running a business is EX PEN SIVE. Our prices reflect the quality of ingredients, the attentiveness to your order, the creativity that we conjure up while designing and decorating, the years of school and experience to be able to adjust and readjust recipes and techniques until they perfectly reflect Whisk, and lastly- the freakin’ love. We send out each order after squealing about it back and forth because it’s so dang pretty and tasty, taking roughly 30 photos of it in our pretty sunlit space, and making sure that it’s something we are insanely and incredibly PROUD of. Our prices directly reflect everything that goes into something that means so much to us, and we hope it means the same to you.
